We are happy to announce the ‘soft launch’ of the CuHeMo Project’s website, now available at www.cuhemo.org and we are glad that you found your way on our project website. This platform will serve as the central hub for all project activities, updates, and resources related to our ongoing research and results.
CuHeMo (Cultural Heritage in Motion) examines the pivotal role that indigenous cultural heritage plays in adapting to climate change. This project integrates climate science, social sciences, and indigenous knowledge to offer a nuanced understanding of climate adaptation strategies employed by mobile indigenous communities, such as pastoralists and fishery groups.
The website will feature a wide array of outputs ranging from policy-focused documents to academic publications but also more creative contributions. Visitors can expect access to our participatory method guidebook, open access datasets, and more. Our collaborative work also emphasizes the co-design of research processes with indigenous communities, ensuring that our methodologies and findings resonate with their lived experiences and knowledge systems. Where ever possible the voices of the communities we co-create knowledge with, will also be displed here on the project website.
Our consortium brings together an interdisciplinary team of climate scientists, social scientists, and indigenous stakeholders. Together, we are committed to advancing a transdisciplinary approach that respects and incorporates indigenous epistemologies and methods.
You can follow our consortium members on their social media channels to get updates on news from the CuHeMo project, or you can bookmark this webpage to check for news occasionally.
